Reddit Recommendations
I'm a big fan of Reddit and the r/horrorlit subreddit in particular. That's where I go when I'm looking for real recommendations for good short stories, novellas, etc. Other fans of horror are always going to be a better source for what's good than critics who may or may not love the genre.
That said, when I find something on Reddit and I review it here, I'll be sure to link to the thread. You don't need an account to read posts on there.
Here's a small list of stories I learned about from r/horror that I'll likely talk about on here:
A Short Stay in Hell by Steven L. Peck
August Heat by W. F. Harvey
The Oram County Whoosit by Steve Duffy
Window by Bob Leman
The Quiet Boy by Nick Antosca
Father, Son, Holy Rabbit by Stephen Graham Jones
The Stagnant Breath of Change by Brian Hodge
Orange is for Anguish, Blue is for Insanity by David Morrell
Northwest Passage by Barbara Roden
There's much more but I'll leave it there for now. It's always fun to read those threads and find new stories to read.
