I'm Amanda Lee, the Mistress of the Weird.

I’ve been an avid reader as far back as I can remember and a horror hound and sci-fi nerd for just as long. When I reached my teens, I discovered “The Weird” as a genre, and I’ve been a fan ever since. The idea of blending horror, sci-fi, fantasy, and more into something strange, terrifying, and beautiful makes “The Weird” my favorite thing to read.

Another favorite is the short form of fiction. That is, short stories and novellas, which is what this blog focuses on. Horror stories and weird stories are best when they’re short, like a punch to the gut.

A note about my writing: I have an education in English as well as art, and I use em dashes despite being a real person and not AI.

My rating system: I rate things on this blog from 1 to 5 💀 skulls. 1 being the worst and 5 being the best.
